Nancy's sister, Sandy, and her husband, Sid, both celebrated their 60th birthdays this past year. We flew to Kansas August 24th to attend a party on August 25th. We were supposed to have a 2 hour lay over in Atlanta. At the time our flight was supposed to leave Atlanta, we learned that it had been cancelled. We were re-scheduled but that flight was delayed because of the weather. After 12-hours in the Atlanta airport we departed for Wichita Kansas.
Their party was very nice. Most of Nancy's family who lives in Kansas were attending. We had the pleasure meeting Sid's family. Most of them are from Clearwater, where Sandy & Sid live.
Clearwater is a cattle town on the Chisolm Trail. We visited the Clearwater museum on Sunday. During our drive around town Nancy noticed the street markers, which are "windmills".
On Monday we went to Hutchson Kansas to the space museum. They have both US and USSR space exhibits. Very informative and enjoyable.
Our last day was spent at the Wichita Zoo.
